Robin Szolkowy born 14 July 1979 in Greifswald, East Germany

They are a four-time (2008, 2009, 2011, 2012) World Champions, the 2010 Olympic bronze medalist, a four-time (2007–2009, 2011) European Champions, a three-time (2007, 2010, 2011) Grand Prix Final Champions, and a seven-time German National Champions.

7-time champions German National Championships

The German pair skaters perform together since 2003 and train as well as live in Chemnitz, Germany.

Savchenko/Szolkowy won the 2004 German Nationals after skating together for just a few months.

Savchenko/Szolkowy are the first German skaters to win an European title in 12 years when they took the gold in 2007 and the first Germans to win Worlds in 11 years (in 2008). They are also the first German figure skaters to medal at the Olympic Games in 12 years.

Savchenko & Szolkowy still participate in competitions and their goal are the Olympics 2014 in Sotschi, Russia. 2009 at Skate Canada they scored the first 10.0 ever given by a judge under the new, actual ISU Judging System.
