VOLOSOZHAR AND TRANKOV

Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov are a Russian figure ice-skating pair. They teamed up in 2010 after successfully competing with their previous partners: with Stanislav Morozov, Tatiana was two-time Ukrainian national champion (2008, 2010); with Maria Mukortova, Maxim won the silver medal in the 2008 European Championship for Russia and has won the silver medal in the Russian national championship for three consecutive years (2008, 2009 & 2010).

Together Tatiana and Maxim won the last edition of the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi both in the pairs and in team events, the 2013 World Championship, the European Championship for three consecutive years (2012, 2013 & 2014), the ISU Grand Prix Final twice (2012, 2013), and they have been Russian national champions two times.

Volosozhar and Trankov are the current World record holders for the combined total, short program and free skate scores. They are the first figure skaters to win two gold medals at the same Olympics.
